We have been BUZZed and searching for an exceptional Lodge Manager to lead this spectacular luxury retreat overlooking the Bay of Islands. With five architecturally designed villas, a MICHELIN Key and Qualmark Gold recognition, Eagles Nest offers an intimate, highly personalised experience in an extraordinary setting.

As Lodge Manager, you'll be the face of Eagles Nest and the person setting the standard across the entire estate. From guest services and private dining to housekeeping, maintenance and grounds, you'll lead a team whose care and attention make this place special.

You'll be right in the BUZZ of the guest experience, personally welcoming arrivals, supporting your team and ensuring every villa is beautifully presented.
You'll also bring the commercial instinct to grow the business. Building luxury travel relationships, increasing direct bookings and giving guests compelling reasons to visit outside the peak season are central to this appointment.

• Deliver warm, intuitive hospitality with exceptional discretion and attention to detail.
• Lead, develop and retain a capable team who take pride in their work.
• Drive sales, marketing and revenue, particularly through the shoulder and low seasons.
• Build relationships with luxury travel advisors, inbound operators and key industry partners.
• Create memorable packages, celebrations and experiences that bring the property to life.
• Own budgets, control costs and deliver strong commercial results.
• Champion the estate's sustainability commitments and its connection to the local community.

Who's creating the BUZZ?

You'll bring at least five years' experience as a Lodge / General Manager or second-in-command within a luxury property, with the confidence to lead a small, highly personalised operation. Your background could include luxury lodges, private villas, boutique luxury hotels or superyachts. What matters is your ability to combine polished hosting with practical leadership and proven commercial results.

You're comfortable discussing revenue performance with the COO, building relationships with travel partners and rolling up your sleeves alongside the team. You understand the judgement required in a family-owned business and bring warmth, integrity and composure to every interaction.

Strong sales and marketing capability is essential, including confidence with digital channels, booking systems and rate management. You'll also need a full driver's licence and eligibility to work in New Zealand.
