Looking for a BUZZing change? Do you thrive in a busy hotel environment where no two days are the same? Are you a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading a high-performing Front Office and Reservations team?

We're searching for an experienced Front Office & Reservations Manager to join a well-established hotel in the stunning South Island. This is a genuine leadership role where you'll take ownership of the complete guest journey—from the first reservation enquiry through to departure—while leading from the front every day.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of both the Front Office and Reservations departments. You'll lead and develop your team while remaining actively involved in reception, reservations, guest services and commercial performance. You'll also work closely with other departments to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the Front Office and Reservations team
  • Manage FIT, corporate and group reservations
  • Coordinate multiple booking channels and reservation systems
  • Optimise occupancy, room allocations and revenue opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest enquiries professionally
  • Coach, mentor and develop your team
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and senior management
  • Maintain high operational and service standards throughout the hotel.
About You:

You'll already have experience in a hotel Front Office and Reservations leadership position and understand what it takes to keep a busy operation running smoothly.
You'll also bring:
  • Minimum 5 years as experience as Front Office Manager or Reservations Management
  • Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems and online booking channels
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for guest service
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • The ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, hands-on approach to leadership.
