With a spectacular site currently under development, it's now time to get culinary creations underway. As a key member of the management team, will you be starting with a blank canvas, applying a concept to implementing the overall menu, including key "signature " cuisine. Budgeting, menu costing, inventory management, staff recruitment, supplier arrangements, FCP, training and management - it's pretty clear you need to be a professional.
We are looking for a hands on chef that wants to come on this journey. You might be an experienced Head Chef or ambitious Sous Chef... but you will need to lead from the front and build a brigade. You will be able to select your entire kitchen team, get them trained up and ready to launch the venue in the coming months.
On offer is an amazing salary ranging between $75,000 - $85,000 p/a, relocation assistance including initial accommodation and many other benefits. Ngāi Tahu's connection to Māori and Ngāi Tahu culture, history and stories is an important part of the experience for our customers so an openness to learning basic te reo and tikanga is a must.
