Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal person will be someone that has sound knowledge of food cost, wage cost, product/supplier knowledge, staff training & quality control. The current menu is cranking but we want some innovation, seasonal changes and cutting edge cuisine, at a affordable price point. We don't just want a Head Chef, we want someone to "manage" the kitchen. Many of the proven systems and procedures are already in place - you just need to execute them.
The owners of the business are very hands on and you will have all their support to achieve company goals. You might not necessarily be a qualified chef, but you must know your way around the kitchen - and cook a decent steak. The ideal person will have at least 2 years experience as Head Chef, and looking to work collaboratively with a passionate owner.
