It goes without saying, this is a massive job. The Head Chef will lead, inspire, train, motivate and encourage his brigade deliver consistency on a daily basis. Targeting high-quality locally sourced cuisine, striving for more "Chef Hat's" you need to have the vision to take the food to the next level. The owners are very proud of what the have achieved in the Canterbury region and they want this vision to continue.
Budgeting, menu costing, inventory management, staff recruitment, supplier arrangements, training and management - it's pretty clear you need to be a professional. The ideal Chef will have a solid career in high profile restaurants, with a minimum of 3 years employment working in a "hatted" restaurant environment. Your past experience will reflect your commitment to your career and references will back this up. Those with international exposure are encouraged to apply.
