With 85 rooms, the hotel cater for an array of conference and events, not to mention a la carte. The General Manager is looking for a talented "hands on" chef, with an array of flavours and techniques to raise the profile of the food operation. We are looking for a leader to take control of the kitchen operations and drive success. Healthy, innovative and tasty food is what the consumers want. We are looking for someone to create a team, with a culture of pride in the kitchen.
You will be responsible for creating new, healthy and exciting menus that will showcase an array of flavours and techniques. The foundations are already in place, and you have very talented Sous Chefs to deliver your vision. You will need to be a driven, committed and a resourceful Chef who has fantastic leadership skills to inspire and motivate your team. Writing menus, costings (including using a computer), training and creating company manuals will all be part of the job. I can't stress enough that this is a "HANDS ON" position.
